ITDRC volunteers work to identify unmet technology needs impacting the whole community, and provide technology resources and recovery assistance to communities affected by disaster.

Typical Field Operations tasks include:

  • Providing “smart hands” to Public Safety and Emergency Management agencies

  • Establishing temporary connectivity for partners providing relief

  • Installing WiFi and charging stations in evacuation centers and shelters for survivors

  • Lending IT equipment for response and recovery

Additionally, for those wishing to help remotely, our Remote Response Team members provide:

  • Help Desk Support

  • Data Analytics

  • GIS & Mapping

  • Network Design and Configuration

  • Software & Systems Engineering

  • Project Management

  • HR & Mobilization Support

  • Marketing & Finance

Getting involved has other benefits too!

  • Gain new skills and learn new technologies

    • ITDRC provides training too, so don't worry if you think you don't have all the skills you need!

  • Meet professionals and build your network across all verticals

  • Remote and In-person Training Opportunities

  • Cool swag when you deploy!
